School lunches are prepared on site using fresh, locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.
The School Council has helped to draw up the menu and a copy is sent out termly (6 terms per year) to all parents.
Children may go home to lunch, bring sandwiches or pay for school lunches.
If your child brings sandwiches, these should be brought to school in a closed bag or lunchbox.
Water is available for every child during the meal but most parents provide a drink. For safety reasons drink must not be in a glass container. Fizzy drinks are discouraged and children may not bring large bags into the dining area.
We do not permit sweets in school; neither do we allow any products containing peanut butter since we have a number of pupils with severe allergies to nut products.
There are a number of Teaching Assistants on duty and they will encourage each child to eat his/her given food.
If your child is KS1 they are entitled to Free School Lunches. Please click here for a letter with details and please speak to us or download a menu from the top of the page.
Menus are sent out at the end of each half term; it helps us with administration if parents pre-order and pay for the lunches required.
Lunches can be ordered for every day or just for occasional days.
Dinner money can be paid via the Agora on-line payment system and this automatically keeps account for each child at school.
If you are not fmailiar with the Agora system please click here to visit the relevant page of the website
There is a charge of £2.30 per day. Some children may be eligible for free school meals (see below). Full information about this can be obtained from school and is printed on the back of each menu.
